ISLAMABAD: Sources have stated that negotiations between Iran and the United States will not take place in Islamabad on Monday.
According to these sources, the specific date and time for the talks have not yet been finalized.
Meanwhile, Iranian news agency Tasnim also reported that Iran has not yet agreed to the next phase of negotiations with the United States.
The agency cited US President Donald Trump’s announcement of a naval blockade against Iran and excessive US demands as reasons for Iran’s reluctance. These issues continue to be part of recent exchanges of messages between the two sides.
Iran has made it clear that for talks to proceed, the US must refrain from making unreasonable demands. Otherwise, Iran is not interested in wasting time on prolonged and fruitless negotiations. Iran’s position has been conveyed to US officials through Pakistan.
