Uptick In Electricity Prices Likely As CPPA Appeals NEPRA For Hiking Charges

Islamabad: It is likely that electricity prices can go up more by Rs 4.69.

Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has moved an appeal to National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) to raise the electricity charges.

The appeal of an uptick in electricity prices has been made under fuel adjustment charges for the month of July this year.

With the increase the electricity prices will burden the masses additionally Rs 65 billions. The NEPRA will hear the CPPA request on August 31.
