Islamabad: Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani has said that the upper house of the parliament which established under the 1973 constitution, has played a vital role in promoting unity among all the provinces and making the country strong.
In his special statement on the constitution day, Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani congratulating the masses, has paid rich tributes to the great personalities who made 1973 constitution.
The chairman senate said that the constitution day is an important day and is being celebrated from the last few years and senate of Pakistan made this tradition.
Sadiq Sanjrani said that the upper house of the parliament, senate, came into being under the 1973 constitution in which all the federating units enjoy uniform representation and the senate runs carrying all the provinces together on all the matters.
He said that the draft of the 1973 constitution passed on the unanimous opinions of all the political parties and it ensured protection of basic human rights of the masses.
