Talal Chaudhry Criticises Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: PML-N leader Talal Chaudhry on Monday said former prime minister Imran Khan’s running from pillar to post to seek stay orders from the courts in corruption cases, has exposed his claims of being an “honest and clean person”.

“If Imran Khan is so clean then why is he running around to get stay orders from the courts,” he questioned while addressing the media in Islamabad.

“Why Imran is seeking stay orders against the call up notice issued to him (in the wake of the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) ruling in the prohibited funding case),” Talal added.

He said the former PM after “threatening the establishment, now imploring to seek their blessings”.

Imran has started making earnest appeals to powerful quarters to quash corruption cases against him, the ruling party leader claimed.

He wondered the PTI, which talks about giving real freedom to the country, did not organise any ceremony on the Independence Day in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, where their party is in power.

Talal said Imran had been using others for personal gains and Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi will ditch him as he did to former military ruler Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf.
