LAHORE: Authorities have introduced a detailed parking plan around the Liberty Park area ahead of the final of the Pakistan Super League, aiming to manage large crowds and ensure smooth traffic flow.
According to officials, six designated parking areas have been set up, divided equally between VIPs and the general public. VIP parking will be available at the Gymnasium, Football Ground, and Alhamra Open-Air Theatre.
For spectators, parking facilities have been arranged at Sun Fort, Liberty, and the Government College for Boys in Gulberg, each with defined capacity limits to handle the expected influx.
The Football Ground can accommodate around 200 vehicles, while the Gymnasium and Alhamra Open-Air Theatre have space for 60 and 50 vehicles, respectively. The Government College for Boys site offers extensive capacity, including parking for up to 4,000 motorcycles and 600 cars.
Meanwhile, the Liberty parking area can handle approximately 700 vehicles and 600 motorcycles, and Sun Fort has space for 400 motorcycles and 60 cars. Officials noted that parking will remain free at all locations except the Liberty site.
The arrangements are part of broader measures to facilitate fans and minimize congestion during the high-profile cricket final in Lahore.
