Sindh Govt Apprehended ‘Rats’ Involved In Theft Of Wheat: Saeed Ghani

Karachi: Sindh Information and Labour Minister Saeed Ghani sarcastically responded to the federal government minister saying that the Sindh government has apprehended rats involved in theft of wheat.

Reacting to Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar, Saeed Ghani said that a rat also ate up mamoth coronavirus funds of Rs 40 billion adding that this rat also stole a whopping Rs 600 billion rupees in buying of Liquified Natural Gas (LNG).

The provincial minister said that some rats also created crisis of sugar and wheat in the country.

Asad Umar today addressing a press conference in Karachi said the federal government has spent 250 billion rupees from its budget to procure COVID vaccines.

Asad Umar said as per its target, the government has vaccinated over 70 million people by December, 2021.

Responding to a tweet by a PPP leader saying the Sindh Province was unable to procure vaccine as per law, the minister said there is no law that stop any province from purchasing vaccines.

Asad Umar said that the country and the provinces cannot move forward without empowered local governments.

He said that 18th Amendment greatly increased the powers of the provinces.
