KARACHI: The Sindh High Court expressed its displeasure over unannounced load shedding in Karachi and summoned a detailed report from K-Electric.
During the hearing of a citizen’s petition, Justice Agha Faisal remarked, “Do whatever needs to be done, but submit a report on the unannounced load shedding.”
The petitioner stated that despite timely payment of bills and no line losses, electricity is still being cut off.
The petitioner further claimed that there are no defaulters in the area, yet prolonged load shedding occurs even though bills are paid on time. In response, K-Electric assured the court that the petitioner’s issue would be resolved within a few days.
