SC Orders Govt To Provide Appropriate Venue To PTI For Holding Long March

Islamabad: Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) on Wednesday ordered the government to provide reasonable venue to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for long march.

The SC heard the case pertaining to blockade of roads and highways and arrest of the PTI activists.

Emergency imposed in all the hospitals of the province, schools and transports are closed, all the examinations cancelled while all the roads and business were closed down, Justice Aijaz Ul Hassan remarked on the measures taken by the government over the PTI’s long march.

The honourbale judge also questioned that the country is in a sensitive path economically and near verge of collapse while he asked that will whole of the country be closed on every protest?

Attorney General adopted point of view that he didn’t know the details while he be given time to take information.

Justice Muzahir Naqvi remarked pointing to the Attorney General, didn’t you know the country’s situation adding that half of the staff of the SC could not reach the court owing to blockade of roads and highways.

The Attorney General said that for the safety of the people protected measures are unavoidable as the PTI has threatened bloody march adding that how we can give permission to armed people.

The SC ordered the government to provide appropriate venue to the PTI for holding the long march while the court also instructed the PTI to go to their houses after registering their protest.
