Islamabad: Supreme Court Of Pakistan Wednesday ordered that the second phase of the local bodies elections will be held on August 28.
The SC disposing of Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) petition, ordered that the second of phase of local bodies election will be held on August 28.
The Local Bodies Election can’t be cancelled on the petition of the MQM-P, the top court categorically announced.
As per the SC, the MQM-P should approach to respective Forum regarding delimitation and PTI be filed a petition regarding implementation on decision regarding Sindh Local Bodies Election act.
The Court remarked that Jamat-e-Islami and PTI have supported holding of the local body elections.
On the other hand, the court said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and respective officials to see reservations in the constituency of Fehmida Mirza,former federal minister on Inter-provincial coordination.
