Rs 699 Billion Subsidies Will Be Given In Financial Year 2022-2023

Islamabad: Revised amount of 1515 billion rupees have been allocated for subsidies in this year budget. While Rs 490 billion subsidy has been suggested for power sector in this year.

For the next financial year 2022 to 2023 sole distributor in Karachi for electricity K-electric will be given Rs 80 billion subsidy while Rs 60 billion will be provided as tariff subsidy, Rs 13 billion industrial package subsidy and Rs 7 billion will be provided as tube well subsidy.

As many as Rs 71 billion subsidy will be given for petroleum products in the next year budget.While it is suggested to give a subsidy of Rs 40 billion on provision of LNG to industries.

In the next fiscal year PASCO will be given a subsidy of Rs 7 billion on purchase of wheat while Rs 12 billion subsidy will be given to Utility Stores of Pakistan under the Prime Minister package.

As many as Rs 5 billion subsidy will be given on this year Ramzan package. Urea factories will be given Rs 15 billion as a subsidy while Rs 6 billion subsidy will be given on the import of urea.
