LAHORE: The government of Punjab has decided to change traffic police uniform and the summary of Uniform change with pictures sent to IGP and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for final approval.
As per detail, the new uniform is being proposed in khaki colour, while the Punjab Police had its own uniform changed back in 2017. A summary detailing the proposed uniform change, along with pictures of the potential new design, has been sent by Punjab inspector general of police to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for final approval.
Top Police official apprised that the colour of the new traffic police uniform was carefully chosen with Punjab’s climate to mind, aiming to ensure practically and comfort across both summer and winter months.
The implementation of the new uniform will commence once the chief minister grants approval, after which logistical preparations will begin for distribution across the province, this marks the first uniform update for traffic police since 2006.
