Lahore: The Punjab Assembly session was held today but after ruckus created between the opposition and government members, the session adjourned till April 6.
The opposition and government benches heated exchange of sloganeering which resulted into heated environment.
The PA session was called today for the voting of the new chief minister.
The verbal fight and noise compelled the speaker to adjourned the session till April 6.
Opposition has nominated Hamza Shahbaz Sharif for the post of chief Minister while Pervez Elahi is the government candidate for the post.
The election for the new chief minister is going to held after the ruling PTI brokered deal with PML-Q leadership in wake of no-confidence motion at the center level.
After the agreement, Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar had resigned from his post.
