Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday filed a reference against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikander Sultan Raja in the Supreme Judicial Commission (SJC).
The reference adopted the stance that the CEC be removed from his post owing to not doing his constitutional duties amicably.
The PTI in its reference said that the CEC is deliberately conducting mismanagement.
The CEC is not performing his constitutional responsibility diligently adding that the CEC showed biasness owing to this he should be removed from his prime post.
The meeting of the coalition government with the CEC Sikandar Sultan Raja has also been mentioned in the reference.
As per the reference, the PDM delegation had called on the CEC in which, the CEC has been pressurized to pronounce verdict in the PTI’s foreign funding case as early as possible.
Just after a few days of meeting, the judgement of the foreign funding case has been announced, the reference pointed.
