Karachi: Pakistan Sarzameen Party (PSP) Chief Syed Mustafa Kamal on Sunday called on Ameer Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman while both the parties categorically rejected local body’s bill approved by Sindh Assembly.
PSP Chief Syed Mustafa Kamal visted JI Karachi headquarter Idara-Nore-Huq with delegation and met JI Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman and discussed the bill related to local bodies passed by the Sindh Assembly.
Syed Mustafa Kamal said that we wanted powers of local body back while talking to media the PSP chief said that both the parties on a same page regarding new local body bill.
He said that powers are not being transferred to lower level in the country adding that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is creating Balochistan like situation in Sindh.
The JI Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman said that the Sindh government is exploiting citizens of the province adding that the matters of the local body should be settled.
Rejecting the bill passed by the Sindh Assembly, the PSP and JI have agreed to bring joint strategy against the bill.
