LAHORE: The final of PSL-11 is scheduled for Sunday evening in Lahore, where Peshawar Zalmi will face Hyderabad Kingsmen in a high-stakes title clash.
Peshawar Zalmi reached the final after defeating Islamabad United in the Qualifier, while Hyderabad Kingsmen secured their place by overcoming Multan Sultans and Islamabad United in the Eliminators. Both teams now stand one step away from lifting the trophy after a closely contested tournament.
A vibrant closing ceremony has been arranged ahead of the match to set the tone for the occasion. The pre-match entertainment will feature some of Pakistan’s leading musical performers, creating a festive atmosphere for fans at Gaddafi Stadium.
Team captains Babar Azam (Peshawar Zalmi) and Marnus Labuschagne (Hyderabad Kingsmen) recently unveiled the PSL trophy together, adding to the anticipation surrounding the final. Both leaders have expressed confidence in their squads while acknowledging the pressure that comes with such an important fixture.
According to PCB details, the champions will receive a total prize package of up to $1 million, including a $500,000 winner’s reward plus an additional bonus. The runners-up will also earn a substantial payout, including prize money and a further bonus.
The match officials appointed for the final include experienced international and local umpires, with Ahsan Raza and Christopher Gaffaney on-field, Alexander Wharf as third umpire, and Asif Yaqoob as fourth umpire. Ranjan Madugalle will oversee proceedings as match referee.
