President, PM honour Capt. Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed on 78th martyrdom anniversary

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have paid glowing tribute to Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, on the occasion of his 78th martyrdom anniversary.

In separate messages issued on Monday, both leaders praised Captain Sarwar’s extraordinary courage, patriotism, and ultimate sacrifice during the First Kashmir War of 1948, describing his legacy as a source of inspiration for the nation.

President Zardari said the country’s martyrs, who sacrificed their lives in defence of Pakistan, are among its most treasured national heroes. He emphasized that their bravery and dedication will continue to be remembered with pride.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed earned a permanent place in Pakistan’s history by displaying exceptional valor, steadfast commitment to duty, and remarkable military leadership while confronting the enemy on the battlefield.

The prime minister added that the sacrifices of the nation’s martyrs serve as an enduring example of courage and patriotism for future generations.
