PPP Announces Long March Against Govt From Feb 27

Lahore: Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has announced a long march against the government adding that the march will start from February 27 from Karachi.

Addressing a presser in Lahore along with his party leaders of Punjab, Bilawal Bhutto said “I have a lot of pressure from the party workers to hold a march against the government adding that we will reach Islamabad after commencing the march from Karachi on February 27.

He said that participation of more and more people in the march is going to have the great impact.

Bilawal Bhutto said that the PPP has a democratic and constitutional right to hold protest against illegal, uncompetitive and disqualified government. Expressing hope he said that no any institution will create hurdle during our protest.

He said that Pakistan is in a historic difficult situation adding that the country never saw such economic downfall while he claimed that the PPP has already taken the country out of trouble in past and is still ready for it now.

It cannot leave its people alone in trouble even for a day, Bilawal added.

He said that soon white paper will be presented in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) against the selected government.

The PPP chairman said that the party demonstration against inflation and hike in petrol prices were held in the every district adding that now the PPP series of protest will enter a new phase.

On a query regarding the opposition parties alliance PDM, he said that the alliance didn’t consult us adding that the PDM has right to plan its march.
