Political Stability, Continuity Of Policies Inevitable For Country’s Development: Ahsan

Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal says political stability and continuity of policies is inevitable for making Pakistan a developed country.

Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said the country needs such policies where there should be no reversal and shocks.

The Minister of Planning said that the people of the formerly West Pakistan have perception that the people of the former East Pakistan were burden on us adding that India was behind us but it left us behind after 2000.

The Minister asked that what is the reason that every country left behind us?

He said that in the country lacks economic stability even if we were placed winners of Noble award even then the country can’t head towards a journey of development.

He said that Bangladesh who takes birth from us has left behind us, South Korea reached from 100 billion dollars to 600 billion dollars adding that those countries who were facing civil war even left behind us.

The Minister said that the youth who is doing graduation what he will say for his journey..

Ahsan Iqbal said that Pakistan has weaken in terms of constitutional ruling and in a democratic manner adding that we could not move forward after 1988 even we have move two steps backward.

He said that in the modern era the responsibilities of media has increased while owing to low rate of education and being poor extremism increased in the country.

He said we will have to ensure writ of law and the constitution in the country.
