QUETTA: Police used live ammunition against protesters from the Balochistan Grand Alliance attempting to march toward the Balochistan Assembly, resulting in multiple arrests.
The supporters of the Balochistan Grand Alliance organized demonstrations across various parts of Quetta city, with all rallies converging at Chaman Railway Crossing. After gathering there, the protesters decided to proceed towards the provincial assembly.
In an effort to disperse the crowd and prevent the march, police resorted to aerial firing, leading to clashes with the demonstrators. Several protesters were detained during the crackdown.
Quddus Kakar, a leader of the Balochistan Grand Alliance, stated that they would continue their protests outside the assembly and emphasized that their demands would not be withdrawn under any circumstances.
