Police 15 helpline integrated with NCCIA to expedite cybercrime complaints

ISLAMABAD: Police Helpline 15 has been integrated with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) to ensure a faster response to cybercrime complaints and improve coordination between the two departments.

Under the new arrangement, complaints related to cybercrime received through Police Helpline 15 will be automatically forwarded to the NCCIA for further action.

The NCCIA director general said the helpline systems of police departments across all provinces and major cities had been connected with the agency’s system.

Through the automated mechanism, cybercrime complaints will be routed directly to the relevant NCCIA regional zone, enabling officials to initiate legal proceedings without unnecessary delays.

The initiative will allow citizens to report cyber-related offences through their nearest Police 15 emergency helpline, making the complaint registration process more accessible and convenient.

The integration is expected to strengthen cooperation between police departments and the NCCIA while facilitating prompt action against offences such as cyber harassment, online fraud and data theft.

Officials say the new system will simplify the reporting process and help ensure that complaints reach the relevant cybercrime authorities more efficiently.
