PM Shehbaz thanks U.S. President for ceasefire extension

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has extended his gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump for kindly agreeing to prolong the ceasefire, facilitating ongoing diplomatic negotiations.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), he conveyed his thanks both personally and on behalf of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. The Prime Minister emphasized that Pakistan remains committed to its sincere efforts toward a peaceful resolution of the conflict, trusting in the process and the diplomatic approach.

Shehbaz Sharif expressed optimism that all parties involved will uphold the ceasefire, paving the way for a comprehensive ‘Peace Deal’ during the upcoming second round of discussions scheduled to take place in Islamabad. He underscored his hope that these talks will lead to a lasting and permanent end to the hostilities.
