PM Shehbaz Sharif to visit Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Türkiye for key diplomatic engagements

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to undertake official visits to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey from April 15 to 18, 2026, in a move aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing regional diplomatic coordination.

According to official sources, the visits to Saudi Arabia and Qatar will focus on bilateral relations, with discussions expected on expanding cooperation in multiple sectors as well as reviewing regional peace and security developments.

During his trip to Turkey, the Prime Minister will attend the Fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where he will participate in a Leaders’ Panel alongside other global leaders. He is expected to present Pakistan’s position on key international and regional issues.

On the sidelines of the forum, PM Shehbaz will also hold bilateral meetings with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and other participating world leaders to discuss mutual interests and cooperation.

Officials say Pakistan’s participation in the forum highlights its continued emphasis on proactive diplomacy, multilateral engagement, and constructive dialogue on global challenges.

The Prime Minister will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatemi, and other senior government officials during the visit.
