Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives due to torrential rains in Karachi.
In a telephonic conversation with Chief Minister Sindh, the Prime Minister expressed the confidence that Sindh government would rise to the occasion and bring life back to normal.
At least three people were electrocutted to death owing to intermittent heavy to light rains across Karachi.
According to rescue officials, 62-year-old Ali Sher Khan lost his life due to electrocution in Bilal Colony of Korangi neighborhood.
Another two people were also electrocuted to death in the Shoe market in Garden area of the city but their identification could not be known yet.

Sub-marine underpass and KPT underpass have shut down for traffic in Clifton. Rainwater entered in the houses in Liaqutabad while heavy rains also
submerged Surjani town and its streets inundate with rainwater.
Rainwater accumulated on the roads of Qayumabad Chowrangi, Arts Council Chowrangi, Supreme Court registry, Zainab Market and M A Jinnah road, owing to which traffic flow totally collapsed, scores of cars and motorbikes were dysfunctional and people felt immense difficulties.
The both the tracks of M-9 motorway between Karachi have been opened again.
The flood relay owing to intermittant heavy rains from intervening night of Sunday and Monday had shut down the both track of the motoray.
All the traffic were stuck due to the flood relay at the motorway causing closure of the both the tracks of the M-9 motorway.
