Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said the Prime Minister has approved an increase of fifteen percent in the salaries of government employees with the consent of the cabinet.
In a tweet on Friday, she said the Prime Minister rejected the finance ministry’s proposal of a ten percent increase.
The Prime Minister has rejected the Finance Ministry’s proposal of a 10% increase and has approved an increase in government employees’ salaries of 15% with the consent of the cabinet. Alsomerging of adhoc allowances into the basic pay is approved #Budget_for_economic_stability

She said merging of adhoc allowances into the basic pay has also been approved.
Talking to media after the federal cabinet session, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said the budget for next fiscal year being presented today will be pro poor.
She said the budget will envisage measures for the promotion of business.
She said the budget will also envisage historic announcements for the agriculture, IT and the youth.
The Minister said the present government is only focusing on the welfare of the people.
