PIMS administers fourth eye treatment dose to Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan has received his fourth intravitreal eye injection at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), where doctors reported signs of improvement in his condition.

According to the hospital, the former premier was brought in on April 28 for a scheduled follow-up. After being examined by ophthalmology specialists, he was found to be in stable condition. An optical coherence tomography (OCT) scan indicated progress in his eye health.

Following consent and under strict medical protocols, surgeons administered the injection using microscopic guidance. The procedure was carried out as a day-care intervention, and he remained stable throughout.

PIMS added that he was discharged the same day with instructions for continued care and future follow-ups.

Separately, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan confirmed on X that Imran Khan had been taken to the hospital for both the injection and a medical evaluation. He reiterated concerns regarding Khan’s treatment, stating that both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi should be moved to a hospital where they can be treated under the supervision of their personal doctors and in the presence of family members.

Gohar emphasized that this remains a longstanding demand and a fundamental right.
