ISLAMABAD: Authorities have announced plans to enhance the cashless passport fee payment system, aiming to make it more user-friendly and accessible.
The directives were issued by Director General (DG) of Immigration and Passports, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, during his inspection visit to the Passport Office headquarters.
During the visit, the DG examined the digital payment process, personally paid a passport fee via a QR code, and reviewed the entire procedure. He expressed satisfaction with the modern, cashless payment system and emphasized the importance of making it more efficient.
Randhawa instructed officials to ensure that the cashless system is simple, quick, and easily accessible to the public, with the goal of reducing long queues and streamlining the application process.
Furthermore, he directed the administration at the headquarters to maintain the passport hall and waiting areas in a clean, organized, and comfortable condition, emphasizing a customer-friendly environment.
