Pakistan Navy Conducts Drills to Handle Potential Threats at Major Ports

KARACHI: The Pakistan Navy has conducted drills at the country’s major ports to address any potential threats.

According to the spokesperson of the Pakistan Navy, the purpose of the two-day exercise was to enhance the effectiveness of security procedures for key maritime installations.

The spokesperson added that the port security drills were organized under the supervision of the Coastal Command of the Pakistan Navy. Participants included Pakistan Marines, Special Service Group (Navy), as well as various naval and aerial assets.

During the drills, Rear Admiral Faisal Amin, Commander Coast, toured different operational setups at the ports and coastal areas, observing live action exercises conducted by the participating units.

The Pakistan Navy spokesperson emphasized that the protection of maritime routes without interruption is a top priority for national security and economic development.

He further stated that the Pakistan Navy is committed to strengthening its defense capabilities along its maritime borders and continuously enhancing its readiness to tackle emerging challenges.
