Pakistan Has No Conditions For Formation of Govt in Afghanistan: FO

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmed has expressed the belief that the legacy of iconic Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Shah Gillani will continue to inspire all those carrying his mission forward to bring an end to illegal Indian occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking at his weekly news briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, he said nation pays rich tribute to Syed Ali Gillani’s life-long struggle for justice and freedom.

The spokesperson said Pakistan will continue to extend all possible support to the Kashmiri people till the realization of their legitimate right to self-determination as enshrined in the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

Answering a question regarding the evolving situation in Afghanistan, he said peace in Afghanistan is also critical to realize our vision of regional connectivity, economic integration and development. He said peace and stability in Afghanistan are vital as any chaos will lead to a human crisis in the country.

Pakistan has no conditions for forming government in Afghanistan.
