Pakistan condemns drone strikes targeting Saudi East-West pipeline

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Saturday strongly condemned drone attacks that damaged Saudi Arabia’s East-West Pipeline and left civilians injured in the Riyadh and Madinah regions.

In a statement, the Foreign Office spokesperson described the attacks on civilian infrastructure as a serious violation of international law and an infringement of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The spokesperson warned that targeting critical civilian infrastructure posed a grave threat to peace, security and stability in the region.

Pakistan expressed its full solidarity with the Saudi government, leadership and people, while reaffirming its continued support for the Kingdom’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, security and development.

“Pakistan has been and will continue to make earnest efforts” to promote lasting peace and stability in the region, the Foreign Office said.
