KARACHI: A deadly traffic accident in Karachi’s DHA neighbourhood left one person dead and five others injured on Sunday after two vehicles collided in Defence Phase VI.
Rescue officials said the crash took place near Khayaban-e-Badr, where both vehicles were reportedly travelling at high speed. The collision was severe, resulting in the immediate death of one individual and injuries to five others, including three women.
Emergency teams quickly reached the site and carried out rescue operations. All injured victims, along with the deceased, were transported to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment and medico-legal formalities.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the identities of those involved. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances that led to the crash.
Road accidents linked to reckless driving and overspeeding remain a persistent issue in Karachi, with safety advocates continuing to call for stricter traffic law enforcement across the city.
