Omicron Cases On The Rise In KP

Peshawar: The fifth layer of omicron cases on the rise in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) rapidly as nine fresh cases reported in the provinces in the last 24 hours after which the number of omicron cases in the province jumped to 34.

Out of the nine cases reported in the province seven belongs to Peshawar , one belongs to Lower Dir and one belongs to Noshahra.

Seven are women and two are men out of the nine cases while their ages are between seven years to 58.

As the total number cases reached 34, the most of the cases 30 reported in Peshawar.

Director health Naekdar Afridi apprised that the spread of the omicrons cases are more fast and the virus doesn’t show any symptoms. As per the department of health contact tracing is being conducted for the affected peoples

The health department is on alert over the spread of the new variant of the coronavirus adding that all the arrangments are completed and survilliance teams are present in the respective areas,
