OGRA raises LNG prices by up to 28% for May

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority has increased the prices of liquefied natural gas (LNG) by up to 28% for May, according to a notification issued on Friday.

Under the revised rates, LNG prices on the Sui Southern Gas Company system have been increased by $3.51 per MMBTU, taking the new price to $16.04 per MMBTU.

Similarly, LNG prices for the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited system have gone up by $3.43 per MMBTU. The new rate for consumers on the SNGPL network has been fixed at $16.98 per MMBTU.

The revised prices will apply for the month of May and are expected to add further pressure on energy costs for consumers and industries across the country.
