Islamabad: National Security Committee (NSC) has agreed to take strict action against the enemies of peace while they also agreed to take stern action against those involved in the anti-state activities.
The NSC meeting which was continued for two days in the chair of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif concluded today.
Army top brass, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Asim Muneer, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) Sahir Shahmshad, Chief of Air Staff air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sindhu, Naval Chief Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi, , Director General ISI Lt Gen Nadeem Ahmed Anjum were in attendance.
Besides that secretaries of Foreign affairs and National Security Division and other high ranking civil officials also attended the meeting.
Federal Minister for defence Khawaja Asif, Interior Ministers Rana Sanaullah, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari are also participating in the huddle.
The huddle which lasted for four hours reviewed overall security and economic situation.
Sources said that the NSC deliberated upon various options regarding the recent wave of terrorism in the country
