Nov 17 Was the Most Black Day In Parliamentary History Of Country: Sherry

Islamabad: Vice-president Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sherry Rehman has said that the government insulted parliament and democracy by bulldozing 33 bills in the joint sitting of the parliament.

In her tweet on social media micro blogging site twitter on Thursday, Sherry Rehman said that the government made laugh of the constitution and rules and regulations.

She said that yesterday will be among the most black days of the country’s parliamentary history adding that the day when the whole world witnessed the worst show of power and artificial majority.

Sherry Rehman said that it has been proved that Speaker is not a custodian of the parliament but a member of the political party adding that forces presence of allied parties and without consultation legislation have become disputed.

The PPP stalwart said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has been expressing its concerns over e-voting since 2010. She went on to say that the electronic voting machines are being forced on the nation and the ECP.

Former ambassador to the USA, Sherry Rehman said that the ECP has many times raised questions on the use of EVMs, expenditures and its credibility.

She said that bringing O.8 million machines, providing training to its staff and aware the masses its procedure in the shortest span of time is not possible.

Senior PPP leader said that the government is searching tactics to rob the elections because the masses have rejected the PTI led government.
