LAHORE: The Lahore High Court’s Multan Bench has directed a bailiff to recover Advocate Amna Javed Hashmi, daughter of senior politician Javed Hashmi, after a petition alleged she was being held at her home without a registered case.
Justice Tariq Nadeem heard the petition filed by Tanveer Alam Hashmi. It claimed Amna was detained at a residence in the jurisdiction of Gulgasht Police Station despite no criminal case being registered against her.
The court ordered a bailiff party to visit the address. When officials arrived, however, Amna was not there.
The court adjourned the case until October 13.
