Lahore Qalandars set for Global Super League return in Guyana

WEB DESK: Defending Pakistan Super League champions Lahore Qalandars are set to feature once again in the Global Super League, scheduled to take place in Guyana later this year.

According to a team spokesperson, Lahore Qalandars will compete in the upcoming edition of the tournament, which is set to run from July 23 to August 1, 2026, at the Guyana National Stadium.

The franchise had also participated in the inaugural edition of the competition, and its return is being seen as a boost for the tournament’s profile.

Team owner Sameen Rana expressed excitement over rejoining the league, saying the franchise is proud to represent Pakistan on an international stage. He added that the tournament provides a valuable platform to showcase talent, culture, and purpose globally.

Meanwhile, Clive Lloyd, Chairman of the Global Super League, welcomed Lahore Qalandars back, describing them as one of the most successful franchises in international T20 cricket. He noted that their inclusion would significantly enhance the quality and prestige of the competition.
