Karachi traffic cop Faheem Gul wins hearts with viral dance-like traffic moves

KARACHI: A Karachi traffic police officer, Faheem Gul, has captured widespread attention on social media for his energetic and dance-inspired style of managing traffic.

Gul’s lively gestures while directing vehicles have earned praise from motorists, who appear more willing to follow his signals. Originally from Matiari district in Sindh, Faheem Gul is currently deployed at Numaish Chorangi, where his distinctive traffic-control style has become widely recognised.

His upbeat approach has won the admiration of Karachi residents, with many saying his cheerful attitude helps ease the stress of navigating the city’s busy roads and brings smiles to commuters during heavy traffic.

In a separate development, Lahore Chief Traffic Officer Syed Abdul Raheem Shirazi announced on Friday that authorities will suspend the driving licences of motorists operating smoke-emitting vehicles as part of stricter measures to tackle smog and improve air quality.

The CTO further stated that commercial vehicles found violating anti-smog regulations would also face suspension of their route permits. He emphasized that firm enforcement is necessary to safeguard public health and the environment. Additionally, the ban remains in place on tractor-trolleys and dumpers transporting sand or soil without properly covering their loads with tarpaulin while entering Lahore.
