KARACHI: Alleged cocaine trafficker Anmol alias Pinky was presented before a court in Karachi without handcuffs, drawing attention over what appeared to be special treatment during her appearance.
According to reports, the investigating officer accompanied the suspect into the courtroom while walking behind her and directing her path as she entered with apparent confidence.
Sources said the accused had reportedly told investigators during custody that she expected to secure her release soon.
The suspect was arrested by Garden Police during an intelligence-led raid carried out on the tip-off of security agencies. Officials described her as a major figure in the narcotics network and claimed she was involved in the manufacture and supply of high-grade cocaine in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.
Authorities said police recovered a mobile drug manufacturing setup during the operation. The seized items allegedly included one kilogram of partially prepared cocaine, over 15 cocaine-filled capsules, and chemicals such as ketamine, ephedrine, methamphetamine, and lidocaine. A pistol was also recovered from the site.
Investigators further claimed that the suspect was involved in producing costly varieties of cocaine, referred to as “White Coke” and “Golden Coke,” which were allegedly sold at prices much higher than standard cocaine in the illegal market.
Police also stated that several bottles of homemade premium red wine were confiscated during the raid.
