Karachi: Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi will celebrate day of gratitude on Friday over success in the local government elections on Sunday.
The JI Pakistan Chief Siraj Ul Haq will also reach Karachi tomorrow to celeberate the day.
The JI has also also started public contact campaign to know at length problems of people of Karachi before making of the local government.
Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman addressing a presser yesterday said that all the our successful candidates will visits streets of Karachi.
He said that we will meet the people will thank them for casting votes in favor of the JI as well as ask their greivances.
The JI Karachi chief said that we will not wait for taking oath of the office.
PPP, JI First Meeting
Earlier today, a first meeting of parties who got major seats in Karachi local government results was held today between ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Jamat-e-Islami (JI).
The PPP delegation provincial ministers Saeed Ghani and Imtiaz Shiekh visited the JI Karachi headquarter Idara Nore Haq today.
During the meeting between two stakeholders of the metropolise after the LG elections, they discussed mayorship of the city and the mayorship of towns
The JI Karachi Chapter chief Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman said the matters will only be forwarded after addressing our reservations by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah who on yesterday in his telephonic conversations with Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman had ensured that the JI reservations will be removed.
Talking at the occasion, the provincial minister Saeed Ghani said that the JI has won a large number of seats and we wanted to work together with the JI for Karachi.
Saeed Ghani also said that whatever decision will be given by the ECP will be acceptable to the PPP regarding the JI reservations of six UC seats.
Mayor Will Be From Jamat-e-Islami (JI): Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman
talking to media Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman has said that a mayor Karachi will be from his party.
The JI Karachi Chief said that we don’t let steal our votes, while the JI Karachi chief demanded that recounting on the seats which are facing cases should be conducted before the Election Commission.
Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman hurled accusation of rigging on the returning officers adding that they were appointed to get results of choice.
He said that several mistakes were conducted in the form 11 and form 12.
