GAZA: Israeli forces targeted the home of Gaza journalist Osama al-Arbid in northern Gaza, killing at least eight people.
Since dawn, at least 15 Palestinians have been reported dead across the Strip, as Israeli military operations intensify.
In a separate incident, at least three Palestinians were killed and 46 wounded after Israeli forces opened fire on crowds seeking aid at a Gaza Humanitarian Foundation aid point.
The organization, backed by Israel and the United States, faces mounting criticism from the UN and international NGOs for allegedly violating humanitarian principles and risking further casualties.
The renewed hostilities follow Israel’s effective termination of a January ceasefire with Hamas on March 18, leading to a resumption of military campaigns. Hamas and allied factions responded with rocket attacks and assaults into southern Israel starting March 20.
Hamas has expressed willingness to release remaining hostages seized during its October 7 attacks in exchange for Israel’s complete withdrawal from Gaza and a permanent ceasefire.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, however, remains firm, stating Israel would only consider a temporary ceasefire if hostages are released, emphasizing that the conflict can only end with the complete eradication of Hamas.
