Ishaq Dar reaches Philippines for ASEAN regional forum ministerial meeting

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar arrived in the Philippines on Thursday to participate in the 33rd ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting, where he will represent Pakistan.

According to the Foreign Office, Dar is scheduled to attend the forum’s plenary session and engage in a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts from participating countries to discuss regional and international issues.

Upon his arrival, Dar was received by senior officials from the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs. Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Philippines, Asma Rabbani, along with officials from the Pakistani Embassy, also welcomed the deputy prime minister.

During the meeting, Pakistan is expected to reaffirm its commitment to regional peace, stability, and constructive cooperation. Dar will also outline Pakistan’s perspective on key regional and global developments while strengthening diplomatic engagement with participating nations.
