ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a phone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi to discuss the current regional landscape and ongoing diplomatic efforts to maintain peace.
During the exchange, the Iranian side praised Pakistan’s positive and active role in promoting dialogue and mediation.
According to the Foreign Office, Dar reiterated Pakistan’s firm commitment to encouraging constructive engagement across the region, stressing that lasting stability can only be achieved through peaceful dialogue and diplomatic channels.
In a separate interaction, Ishaq Dar also spoke with Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi. Safadi acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts to support peace and stability amid ongoing regional tensions.
Dar reaffirmed Islamabad’s resolve to facilitate cooperation among all stakeholders and emphasized the importance of resolving conflicts through negotiation rather than confrontation. Both leaders also highlighted the strong ties between Pakistan and Jordan and agreed on the need to enhance collaboration at both bilateral and multilateral levels.
