TEHRAN: Iran’s Interior Minister, Dr. Eskandar Momeni, is expected to arrive in Pakistan within the next two days for official talks aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, according to sources.
During the visit, Dr. Momeni will lead a high-level delegation and is scheduled to meet with Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Syed Mohsin Naqvi. The discussions are expected to center on expanding trade ties and enhancing collaboration on security-related matters.
Officials are also likely to assess the regional security landscape under the framework of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding while exploring new avenues for closer coordination on issues of shared concern.
The agenda is expected to include cooperation in counter-terrorism, cyber security, immigration, and border management, reflecting both countries’ commitment to addressing common challenges.
The visit is seen as an important step toward strengthening institutional links between the interior ministries of Pakistan and Iran while promoting greater security coordination and expanding economic engagement between the two neighboring nations.
