Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) Monday on the insistence of advocate general Islamabad has issued a notice to Shahbaz Gilll, Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) leader Dr Shahbaz Gilll, who is in police custody over his statement on Ary news inciting people against country’s institutions.
The IHC acting chief justice justice Amir Farooq heard the petition against rejection of physical remand Shahbaz Gill.
Advocate General Islamabad, barister Jehangir Jadoon and investing officer (IO) appeared before the court.
Barrister Jehangir apprised the court that the PTI leader and chief of staff of its chief Imran Khan, Dr Shahbaz Gill targeted country’s institutions in his statement on Ary News program.
The government took the statement seriously and lodged a complaint against Shahbaz Gill, Jehangir added.
On the court questions, the advocate general informed verdicts of other courts.
