Islamabad: Minster for Railways and Aviation Khawaja Saad Rafique says China has agreed to provide Pakistan with latest meteorological equipment to effectively forecast the environmental changes and natural calamities.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Friday, he said several agreements were reached during visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to China.
The Minister said China has not only expressed readiness to complete the ML-I railway project but also in upgrading Pakistan’s meteorological warning systems with the help of Chinese experts to prevent and tackle natural disasters by timely alerts.
About the political situation in the country, the Minister strongly condemned the incident of firing on PTI’s long march in Wazirabad yesterday. He called for a joint investigation team comprising competent officers to probe into the incident.
However, the Minister said that without any investigation hurling allegations on PM Shahbaz is not right.
