Hearing Of Ramzan Sugar Mill, Ashiyana Iqbal Case Adjourned Till Nov 26

LAHORE: An accountability court of Lahore on Tuesday summoned witnesses to record their statements in the Ramzan Sugar Mills case on November 26.

Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly, Hamza Shahbaz appeared before the court and marked his attendance, while his father, President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Shehbaz Sharif was granted exemption from court’s appearance.

The court after summoning the witnesses in the case, adjourned the further hearing of the case until November 26.

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor Asad Ullah Malik argued that its witnesses are retired person and have been appearing before the court for six months and there is no proceddings and demanded the accused person counsel to give the witnesses TADA.

Accountability Judge Malik Muhammad Sajid Ali Awan ordered that there must cross-questioning of the witnesses on the next hearing. The court summoned the witnesses on November 26 and adjourned the case till than.

On the other hand the court also adjourned the hearing of Ashiyana Iqbal case till November 26 as well.
