Lahore: Governor Punjab Umar Sarfaraz Cheema on Sunday sent a report over transition of power in the province wherein the report highlights constitutional violations on the matter of the election of chief minister Punjab.
The report sent to President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi by the Governor Umar Sarfaraz Cheema said that the election of chief minister Punjab not conducted as per the constitution and law.
The Governor added that the record of voting of the chief minister Punjab is tempered adding that the police were stopped to enter the Punjab Assembly and barred members to cast their votes.
The report further apprised that the governor office also didn’t recieve any resignation from cheif minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar while he asked that when the resignation of the chief minister not reached to him and how he can accepts?
The election of chief minister Punjab be declared annulled, the report said.
