Gold prices edge higher in Pakistan as per-tola rate climbs by Rs400

KARACHI: Gold prices recorded a modest increase in Pakistan’s local bullion market on Thursday, with the price of 24-karat gold rising by Rs400 per tola to reach Rs425,436, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).

The association also reported that the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs343, settling at Rs364,742. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold gained Rs314, taking its price to Rs334,358.

In the global market, gold prices also moved upward, with the rate increasing by US$4 to US$4,030 per ounce.

On the other hand, silver prices registered a decline. The price of 24-karat silver per tola dropped by Rs134 to Rs6,155, while the rate for 10 grams of silver fell by Rs115 to Rs5,276.

Internationally, silver also traded lower, with its price decreasing by US$1.34 to US$56.76 per ounce, according to the association.
