Gold Prices climb sharply in Pakistan

KARACHI: Gold prices recorded a significant increase in Pakistan on Monday, mirroring an upward trend in international bullion markets.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs4,643 per tola, reaching Rs442,636 compared to the previous rate of Rs437,993.

The rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold also moved higher, gaining Rs4,179 to settle at Rs378,345.

On the global market, gold advanced by $46 per ounce, with the precious metal trading at $4,202 per ounce.

Silver prices followed the same trajectory, with the per-tola rate increasing by Rs189 to reach Rs7,151.
