KARACHI: Gold prices continued their upward trend in Pakistan on Monday, with the price of 24-karat gold increasing by Rs1,700 per tola to Rs. 428,436 in line with gains in the international bullion market.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the international price of gold rose by $17, reaching $4,060 per ounce, driving domestic prices higher.
Silver prices also moved upward in the local market. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs54 to Rs6,291, while the rate for 10 grams of silver climbed by Rs46 to Rs5,393.
In the global market, silver also registered gains, rising by $0.54 to $58.12 per ounce, the association said.
